A Squid Called Sebastian
A Squid Called Sebastian walked around with a sketchbook and a pencil from a very young age. First in Belmont (USA), later in Ghent. Melancholy and symbolism are often present in Squid’s work, as is the case in the night scene in the Tarwestraat. A mysterious figure looks wistfully at the sea and at some lonely floating boats in the bay. A metaphor for the perishability of the fishing industry.
