Artist Eltipo entitled this artwork ‘Sunset closure’ and it is full of references to the sea and the city of Ostend. The colour palette is based on a sunset over the sea, specifically at the very last point when it gets dark at nightfall, while a last warm glow of the sun is still visible. In his work, Eltipo often starts from letters from his personal design language. Here the design language was separated from the letters and used as style elements in themselves, creating an abstract composition.
