‘Big’ is an understatement for Fintan Magee’s work. The Australian chooses to make realistic portraits but likes to add to his works surrealistic elements that refer to his own life. For ‘The Crystal Ship’, he chose to paint a young woman from Ostend. The portrait is about 40 metres high.
