Iñigo Sesma
Iñigo Sesma’s distinctive, cinematographic style can give you the impression that his pieces are taking you on a journey around the world. You can almost smell the places he has painted. Even stronger: you can realistically imagine the conversations he holds with the people he portrays. They share a striking resemblance to characters in a film by Jim Jarmusch, whose work – like that of this Basque artist – is also suffused in melancholy and mystery, while remaining in touch with humanity at the same time.
