The Crystal Ship attracted a famous name with Sainer by Etam Cru. Their enormous works, full of colours, details and techniques, are renowned both within the art world and beyond. Sainer visited Ostend on his own and designed a dark but colourful still life tends towards impressionism. A landscape drawn straight from the Flemish polders, enhanced with flowers in the foreground. The purple and green colours blend perfectly with the colours of the building and the surrounding park.
