Vrouwenraad (Women’s Council) wants to ban violence on women and girls, expose stereotyping and sexism, and support the transition to a carefree society. To help achieve these goals, The Crystal Ship set up a community project with women from the Rwandan, Burundian and Congolese diasporas at the helm. Together, we searched for a theme, a style and an artist: South Africa-based Falko Fantastic. The final result shows three generations of women – the youngest is in the middle – and underlines how important it is to stay true to your roots and heritage.
