Jeps & Jucte
Jeps & Jucte
Jeps & Jucte’s mural was painted on Town Hall and that gave them a great responsibility. They paid tribute to musical (ex-)citizens of Ostend, such as: rock singer Arno; soul legend Marvin Gaye; Johannes Verschaeve, the lead singer of ‘The Van Jets’; and one of Ostend’s heroines, Lucy Loes.

Fintan Magee
Fintan Magee
‘Big’ is an understatement for Fintan Magee’s work. The Australian chooses to make realistic portraits but likes to add to his works surrealistic elements that refer to his own life. For ‘The Crystal Ship’, he chose to paint a young woman from Ostend. The portrait is about 40 metres high.

Faith47
Faith47
Faith47 knows how to take care of herself in the artist world. She gets inspired by apartheid, human rights, feminism and religion but she mainly wants to pass on a positive message to society. Her work of art in Ostend shows an intimate moment between two women.

Ella & Pitr
Ella & Pitr
Since this couple participated in ‘The Crystal Ship’, Ostend has now the largest floor painting ever made in the Benelux. Ella & Pitr painted a woman in bikini who represents the sunbathing people from Ostend. The woman is also wearing a mask that refers to Ensor.

Eversiempre
Eversiempre
With this work, Eversiempre wanted to criticise king Leopold II’s actions. However, Eversiempre also wants to transmit a positive message with his work: thanks to the colourful bright eyes of the man looking towards the future, he wants to celebrate the rich diversity of Ostend.

Elian
Elian
Elian played with perspective and lines, which created an anamorphic work of art that is different from another viewpoint. Try walking in a hemicycle around Elian’s work and see what happens with the perspective.

Disorderline
Disorderline
Disorderline combines abstract and geometric shapes and always incorporates the environment in his works. In Ostend, Disorderline was inspired by the environment and the former public swimming pool – note the blue colour of the sea and the ochre colour of the sand. This work of art has become a giant abstract piece.

Cyrcle
Cyrcle
The duo named ‘Cyrcle’ is always looking for contrasts in their works by painting difficult themes such as death in a poetic and an aesthetic way. After the terror attacks in Brussels on March 22nd in 2016, they wanted to pay tribute to the victims. It took days to make it look like a real marble wall but when, one day, a man curiously placed his hand on the wall to check if it was really covered with marble, Cyrcle knew their goal was accomplished.

Agostino Iacurci
Agostino Iacurci
At first glance, his paintings seem to be coming from a children’s book but if you look more closely, you will see the different layers in Agostino Iacurci’s art. His mural in Ostend is a Greek vase and is about 15 metres high.

Fun fact: when the landlord saw the design for the mural on his building, he was wondering if the artist was going to drill into or paint on the wall.
